About the Adjudicator Registry

ODACC is responsible for certifying Adjudicators and for maintaining a public record of qualified Registry Adjudicators (s. 13.3 of the Construction Act). Only Adjudicators listed in the Adjudicator Registry and Private Adjudicators as defined in s. 13. 1 of the Construction Act are permitted to conduct adjudications and make Determinations under the Construction Act. All adjudications that are commenced under the Construction Act must proceed through ODACC.

Adjudicators’ Profiles

Once certified, Registry Adjudicators will be invited to create a profile on ODACC’s Custom System. The profile will be displayed on the Adjudicator Registry. Further details will be communicated with Adjudicators via email.

Change of Information

Adjudicators must notify ODACC via email at authority@odacc.ca of any change in information related to their hourly rate, flat fee rates and geographical areas. Other changes made to Adjudicators’ profiles may be submitted through ODACC’s Custom System.

Pursuant to s. 4(c) of Ontario Regulation 264/25if an Adjudicator ceases to be eligible to hold a certificate, the Adjudicator must notify ODACC immediately in writing at authority@odacc.ca.

Pursuant to s. 5.(1)(a) of Ontario Regulation 264/25, an Adjudicator may cease to be eligible to hold a certificate if the Adjudicator does not meet the requirements under sections 3 or 4 of Ontario Regulation 264/25, or if the Adjudicator fails to comply with the Code of Conduct.

Section 6.(2) of Ontario Regulation 264/25  lists the information that ODACC must display on the Adjudicator Registry: 

6.(2) The Authority shall ensure that the adjudicator registry includes every holder of a certificate of qualification to adjudicate and, in relation to each listed holder, includes,

  1. The adjudicator’s name and contact information;
  2. The period of validity of the adjudicator’s certificate;
  3. The adjudicator’s areas of expertise for the purposes of adjudication, number of years of relevant working experience in the construction industry and every professional body of which the holder is a member in good standing;
  4. The geographical areas in which the adjudicator conducts adjudications; and
  5. Any other information that the Minister directs be included in order to assist in the selection of a registry adjudicator.
